About

Madhvi Venkatesh is a disciple of the esteemed Guru Viji Prakash. She has also worked with leading Bharata Natyam artists including Guru T.K. Kalyanasundaram, Harikrishna Kalyanasundaram, Indira Kadambi, Sreelatha Vinod, and Kasi Aysola. In 2014, Madhvi co-founded Prakriti Dance, an innovative company that showcases Indian performing traditions.
Madhvi has performed as a soloist across the U.S. and India and has toured with the Shakti, Dakshina/Daniel Phoenix Singh, and Prakriti Dance companies. She is also passionate about bringing her art to schools and community organizations. Madhvi has received recognition and support for her dance pursuits from organizations such as The Boston Foundation, National YoungArts Foundation, Maryland State Arts Council, and Alliance for California Traditional Arts.
